J.J. McCarthy hasn’t played since the Minnesota Vikings<\/a> lost 22-6 to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. Some fans are hoping that he will return for the Vikings’ Week 7 game against the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>. But one prominent Vikings insider isn’t so sure that will be the case.<\/p>\n

Darren “Doogie” Wolfson of KSTP, who makes regular appearances on SKOR North’s Purple Daily podcast<\/a> for his “Scoops” sessions, speculated that it could be more than a few weeks before we see McCarthy return to the starting lineup.<\/p>\n

McCarthy suffered a high ankle sprain in the loss to the Falcons. Kevin O’Connell said that he wants to see McCarthy get a full week of practice before he returns to the starting lineup<\/a>.<\/p>\n
