The New York Jets<\/a> still have some convincing to do over at NFL.com.<\/p>\n

The league’s website released their latest power rankings following the 2025 NFL draft and New York stood pat… but not in the best position.<\/p>\n

Entering and leaving the draft, the Jets remained at No. 27 overall.<\/p>\n

At the bottom of the barrel is the Tennessee Titans in NFL.com’s poll. Heading up the list, respectively, is the New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns before getting to the Jets.<\/p>\n

While not the best feelings about the Jets, New York can still see plenty of improvement… but with all the team’s changes on and off the field, nothing will move in polls until the regular season.<\/p>\n

I’m glad the Jets attacked the offensive line with their first pick and waited at tight end. Getting Armand Membou (No. 7 overall) and Mason Taylor (No. 42) with the initial two selections was a better approach than picking either Tyler Warren or Colston Loveland in Round 1 and then taking whichever offensive lineman would have been left for them in Round 2. I’ll be careful how loudly I say it, but I thought this was a really nice first draft from Darren Mougey and Aaron Glenn. There really wasn’t a pick they made, especially among the first five selections, that had me confused. Now, New York will set its sights on putting together this ship-in-a-bottle offense and hope it doesn’t look like a rowboat on the ocean, the way some past Jets iterations have appeared after being unveiled. I’m cautiously optimistic with the direction here.<\/p>\n
