A former Seattle Seahawk has found a new NFL home. After being released by the Seahawks<\/a> at the beginning of March, veteran safety Rayshawn Jenkins has signed with the Cleveland Browns<\/a>, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Cleveland, under head coach Kevin Stefanski has boasted one of the better defenses in the league. Now they add an eight-year veteran into the mix.<\/p>\n

Jenkins played in 13 games for the Seahawks<\/a>, and started the first nine before suffering an injury, sideling him for a few weeks on the injured reserve list. During that time, Coby Bryant filled in spectacularly in the role and retained it even after Jenkins returned to action.<\/p>\n

Jenkins requested a trade<\/a> from Seattle earlier this offseason. When a trade did not materialize, the Seahawks opted to release him.<\/p>\n

During his one season in the Pacific Northwest, Jenkins was a solid player. He recorded 53 total tackles, two sacks, and made franchise history with his 102-yard fumble recovery touchdown against the New York Giants<\/a>. This is a record that is likely to stand for quite some time.<\/p>\n
