The Buffalo Bills made their final picks of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The priority for the Bills this offseason is crystal clear after free agency and now the NFL Draft \u2014 get better on defense.<\/p>\n
They started the final day by trading up in the fourth round \u2014 and selecting a massive man \u2014 6\u20197, 330 pound Kentucky\u00a0defensive tackle Deone Walker, who was a college teammate of first-round pick Max Hairston,\u00a0with the 109th overall pick.<\/p>\n
They also add a couple more cornerbacks \u2014 in fact \u2014 their first five picks were all defense.<\/p>\n
#Bills<\/a> GM Brandon Beane says DT Deone Walker can play 1T or 3T. He does provide pass rush inside. They’ll play him all over depending on the situation. Beane also says T.J. Sanders can also play either spot.<\/p>\n \u2014 Andy Young (@AndyYoungTV) April 26, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n “I can tell you 100% going into it we have to get X number of players out of this draft,” Buffalo Bills\u00a0General Manager Brandon Beane said. “As I said yesterday, I did think how the board was stacked, where the strengths of the board were, two of our first three picks I felt pretty good would land that we would have a defensive player there that we liked that filled a need at the flu.”<\/p>\n The Bills did add three offensive players \u2014 including a tackle, a tight end and a wide receiver with their final pick. Many fans and analysts felt like they should\u2019ve addressed a receiver sooner. Beane says they were not ignoring it, but they also think they have a pretty good offense as it is. <\/p>\n Round five saw the Bills take Ohio State defensive back Jordan Hancock (pick 170) and Georgia Tech tight end Jackson Hawes (pick 173).\u00a0<\/p>\n Brandon Beane says they love the versatility of CB Jordan Hancock, and sees him sliding in to a safety\/nickel role.<\/p>\n \u2014 Andy Young (@AndyYoungTV) April 26, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n In round six, Buffalo chose Virginia Tech cornerback Dorian Strong (pick 177) and UConn tackle Chase Lundt (pick 206). The Bills completed their draft in round seven by selecting Maryland wide receiver Kaden Prather with the 240th overall pick.<\/p>\n “Look at the ranks last year,” Beane said. “I don\u2019t think we\u2019ve regressed. Time will tell. The team is on paper. The offense is on paper. But I didn\u2019t leave last season on offense thinking man, this didn\u2019t \u2019t work.”<\/p>\n Beane says they’re comfortable with the wide receiver room coming out of the draft.
