Week 8 of college football proved that nothing is promised<\/a> in the AP Top 25<\/a> after nine ranked teams suffered losses \u2014 including four in the top 10 \u2014 and three unranked teams delivered upsets against ranked opponents.<\/p>\n

No. 2 Miami was the first to fall, shocked at home by unranked Louisville<\/a> in the Hurricanes\u2019 first defeat of the season. By Saturday night, winning streaks also broke for No. 5 Ole Miss at No. 9 Georgia and No. 7 Texas Tech at Arizona State.<\/p>\n

And No. 10 LSU lost for the second time this season, this time to No. 17 Vanderbilt.<\/p>\n

But it wasn\u2019t all bad news for those near the top of the rankings: No. 3 Indiana crushed Michigan State and No. 6 Alabama beat No. 11 Tennessee.<\/p>\n
