NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) \u2014 The Tennessee Titans are facing more than just a tough season on the field. They\u2019re also struggling to fill the stands at Nissan Stadium, according to a study posted in September.<\/p>\n
According to research released by ticket-comparison site Ticket-Compare.com, <\/a>the Titans have one of the emptiest stadiums in the NFL, this season. As of Sept. 22, the team is averaging more than 11,000 empty seats per home game, according to the study, resulting in an estimated $1.9 million in lost revenue per game.<\/p>\n \u201cIt definitely feels like the life\u2019s been sucked out of us a little bit,\u201d said Tadd Greer, a long-time Titans fan, after the Titans’ loss to the Patriots, Sunday.<\/p>\n \u201cWe just can\u2019t stand to see them losing and losing, and it\u2019s deflating,\u201d said Brittany Cleaver, another fan.<\/p>\n The team\u2019s performance this season hasn\u2019t helped. The Titans currently sit at 1-6, as they\u2019re adjusting to a new starting quarterback and, as of Monday, a new interim head coach following the release of Brian Callahan.<\/a><\/p>\n Titans President of Football Operations Chad Brinker acknowledged the frustration during a news conference on Oct. 13.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re all frustrated,\u201d Brinker said. \u201cWe understand that you, the fans- you\u2019re frustrated with everything that\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n
