Houston has a short week ahead of them after a tough loss on the west coast. They face the San Francisco 49ers, who are coming off a strong victor against the Atlanta Falcons. FanDuel has released their initial odds and they have several interesting options for fans who are interested in placing bets on the Texans game.<\/p>\n
his line is surprising, considering the Texans are 2\u20134 while the San Francisco 49ers lead the NFC West at 5\u20132. TE George Kittle finally returned from injury; though he didn\u2019t record any catches, he still provided a distinct weapon for their offense. Despite having more Pro Bowlers on injured reserve than some teams carry on their entire rosters, the 49ers\u2019 success hasn\u2019t slowed, unlike Houston\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Houston\u2019s best chance lies in the 49ers\u2019 weakened defensive line. With Tarron Jackson and Nick Bosa on IR, and Bryce Huff listed as doubtful, San Francisco\u2019s pass rush is limited. If Houston can\u2019t expose the 49ers\u2019 offensive line, their path to an upset narrows\u2014but if they do, the Texans could have a better shot than expected. Even so, I\u2019d take the 49ers with the points for Sunday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

FanDuel currently lists this game as a pick\u2019em, with San Francisco at \u2013102, indicating nearly even money on both sides. Surprisingly, the Texans are slightly favored, despite Monday Night\u2019s offensive debacle. While the 49ers boast a stronger roster and more consistent offensive play, Houston enters the game healthier.<\/p>\n
The Texans have covered only twice this season. Pulling off an upset against the 49ers would be a notable achievement\u2014and a potential opportunity for Texans fans to capitalize on.<\/p>\n
Hammer the under here. The 49ers haven\u2019t scored more than 30 points thus far. They average 20.7 points per game with or without Brock Purdy. The Texans aren\u2019t much better, averaging 21.2 per game, but that drops down to just 16.6 points per game without the blowout against the Ravens.<\/p>\n
Houston\u2019s offense is stuck in neutral and the 49ers don\u2019t have the weapons at receiver to threaten big plays. This game has a score of 17-13 written all over it. Neither team is predicated on big plays and has shown they can rack up points fast.<\/p>\n
