The Buffalo Bills<\/a> are going to get some new players during the 2025 NFL Draft<\/a>, but they are one pick short on Day 2 this weekend following a trade deadline move in October 2024. Buffalo acquired wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns<\/a>, and that trade will mostly wrap up during this weekend\u2019s NFL draft.<\/p>\n

Original terms of the Amari Cooper trade<\/p>\n

Browns receive: 2025 third-round pick, 2026 seventh-round pick
Bills receive: Amari Cooper, 2025 sixth-round pick<\/p>\n

Who did the Bills select with the picks from the Amari Cooper trade?<\/p>\n

Buffalo received a sixth-round selection in addition to Cooper. The Bills flipped that as part of the trade that sent Kaiir Elam to the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys picked Oregon OT Ajani Cornelius at 204.<\/p>\n

What did the Browns do with the picks from the Amari Cooper trade?<\/p>\n

The Browns received a third-round selection which settled at 94 overall when the draft order was announced. The Browns selected their quarterback of the future (maybe?) by selecting Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel. <\/p>\n

Cleveland also has a 2026 seventh-rounder coming their way. <\/p>\n

How was Amari Cooper\u2019s performance for the Bills?<\/p>\n

Cooper\u2019s presence was felt right away, catching a touchdown pass in his first game for the Bills. His impact wasn\u2019t as great as Buffalo had hoped, though. He played in eight games catching 20 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns while fighting through a lingering injury. <\/p>\n

In the playoffs, Cooper added six catches for 41 yards.<\/p>\n

Who won the Amari Cooper trade between the Browns and Bills?<\/p>\n

Looking back, I think most Bills fans would probably not make this trade again. His impact went beyond the stat sheet allowing others to get open, sure, but it\u2019s a pretty steep cost for a minimal return. <\/p>\n
