GREEN BAY, Wis.\u00a0\u2014\u00a0The Packers have started preparing for Sunday\u2019s home game against the Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field.<\/p>\n
Packers quarterback Jordan Love was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his game against Pittsburgh. Love wants to make sure the Packers don\u2019t look past the Panthers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we’re gonna have a great week of prep,\u201d said Love. \u201cI think that’s the message that everyone’s talking about. We got a good, good Panthers team, who’s been winning, coming in.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe’ve got enough to worry about, just within ourselves, and a lot of growth in front of us,\u201d said Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur. \u201cIf we want to play our best football, we should only be worried about today, this game and nothing else outside of that.\u201d<\/p>\n
The individual honors are nice, but Love is more interested in the Packers winning games.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think anytime you play well, it’s always a confidence booster for you,\u201d said Love. \u201cAs a team, as an offense, come away with the win. We put up a good second half like that. I think all those things are confidence boosters. The way you go out there and play, playing well gives you confidence going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
When it\u2019s clicking, the Packers\u2019 running game helps Love. Josh Jacobs is still dealing with a calf injury, so Emanuel Wilson, playing after the deaths of his uncle and a childhood friend, stepped in well Sunday night.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen my numbers called, I just try to go out there and make plays,\u201d said Wilson. \u201cGive everything I got on Sunday.\u201d<\/p>\n
When I asked Wilson if he thought he\u2019d earned more playing time, he responded with his team-first mindset.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope so,\u201d said Wilson. \u201cI hope so, but,\u00a0if it didn’t, it didn\u2019t. I\u2019m cool with my role and just going out to execute every time I can.\u201d<\/p>\n
