While most of our time around the NFL Draft<\/a> is spent talking about the new players the Buffalo Bills<\/a> have selected, it\u2019s also a time to look back on former players. This weekend, the Stefon Diggs trade<\/a> concludes for the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Original terms of the Stefon Diggs trade<\/p>\n

Texans receive: Stefon Diggs, 2024 sixth-round pick, 2025 fifth-round pick
Bills receive: 2025 second-round pick<\/p>\n

Who did the Bills select with the picks from the Stefon Diggs trade?<\/p>\n

Buffalo received a second-round pick for the package they sent to the Texans. That turned out to be pick 56. It\u2019s the first of two second-round picks for the Bills in 2025. <\/p>\n

The Bills traded that pick as part of their move to select DT T.J. Sanders at 41 overall.<\/a><\/p>\n

At 56, the Chicago Bears took Boston College OT Ozzy Trapilo. <\/p>\n

What did the Texans do with the picks from the Stefon Diggs trade?<\/p>\n

In 2024, the sixth-round pick from Buffalo was pick 189. Houston traded away the pick for picks 205 and 249. <\/p>\n

The Lions took Mekhi Wingo, a defensive tackle from LSU<\/a> who played in 11 games for Detroit, at pick 189. He has nine career tackles. <\/p>\n

Houston selected RB Jawhar Jordan at 205 and guard LaDarius Henderson at 249. Jordan spent the 2024 season on Houston\u2019s practice squad while Henderson spent the season on the NFI list with a foot injury. <\/p>\n

The Texans had pick 166, but they traded it ahead of the draft to the Houston Texans. The Texans traded it to the Seahawks during the draft and selected WR Tory Horton. Since Houston traded back with the pick, and it involved so many other picks, we won\u2019t follow the thread. <\/p>\n

How was Stefon Diggs performance for the Texans?<\/p>\n

After trading for Diggs, the Texans shortened his contract to just one year. He was hurt in Houston\u2019s eighth game of the season, tearing his ACL and missing the rest of the games. He finished his career in Houston with 47 receptions, 496 yards, three touchdowns and a rushing TD. <\/p>\n

In his lone game against Buffalo, Diggs had six catches for 82 yards and Houston won. <\/p>\n

He signed with the New England Patriots this offseason. <\/p>\n

Who won the Stefon Diggs trade between the Texans and Bills?<\/p>\n

The Bills are likely going to be the clear winners here for two reasons. Shortening Diggs\u2019 contract never made any sense to me. The Texans went with a one-year rental for a second-round pick? The injury made it even worse.<\/p>\n
