Once again, I\u2019m asking four of my friends in the league to evaluate the entirety of the Chicago Bears organization as we head into the 2025 season. Today\u2019s focus is the running back position.<\/p>\n

On D\u2019Andre Swift: \u201cShane\u2019s usage of Swift last season was just odd. He\u2019s a dangerous player in the passing game and I would think that\u2019s where Ben will primarily use him.\u201d<\/p>\n

On D\u2019Andre Swift, again: \u201cNot my favorite player but can be useful. Our defensive coaches thought if you hit him hard early in the game, he\u2019d go into a bit of a shell.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Roschon Johnson: \u201cI hadn\u2019t thought about him in a long time so I looked into his production. I like the touchdown numbers last year. 6 TDs in 55 carries? Excellent. But there\u2019s a problem. You\u2019re asking a guy who struggles to stay on the field to take your most physical carries. That doesn\u2019t work for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Kyle Monangai: \u201cFans will fall in love with him late in preseason games but we just didn\u2019t see a bigtime back on tape. If he contributes on specials, it\u2019s a bonus.\u201d<\/p>\n

Is this group good enough to start the season with? \u201cYes. Everybody wants to mention Barkley and the Eagles, but the other team in the Super Bowl lost their back in like Week 1 and were starting guys off the street in October.
