Now that it is out, let’s take a closer look at the Jacksonville Jaguars’<\/a> 2025 NFL schedule with some initial observations.<\/p>\n

On paper, coming into this season, the Jaguars have the sixth-easiest schedule, according to Sharp Football<\/a>. However, going beyond who the opponent is, there are other factors that can impact the potential difficulty of a team’s schedule.<\/p>\n

So let’s dive into what stands out about this year’s Jaguars’ schedule. But first, here is what that schedule looks like:<\/p>\n

Week 1: vs. Carolina Panthers<\/a> (1:00 PM)<\/p>\n

Observations from Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2025 schedule<\/p>\n

Home heavy early on: Four of the Jaguars’ first six games are home games, and technically it’s five out of seven, although that seventh game is being played in England.<\/p>\n

Road games coming out of the bye: If there’s a home-heavy stretch, then there is going to have to be a road-heavy stretch to balance it out. From Weeks 9-13, four of those five games are on the road. Of the Jaguars’ final 10 games, only four are at home.<\/p>\n

One primetime game: The Jaguars’ lone primetime game will come on Monday Night in Week 5 against the Chiefs. Their matchup against the Rams in London is another standalone game.<\/p>\n

A lot of miles: During that aforementioned road stretch out of the bye week, it’s not only that the Jaguars are traveling, but two of those three road games are cross-country flights with one to Las Vegas and another to Arizona. The other road game mixed in is Houston. In total, the Jaguars will travel the fourth-most miles<\/a> this season.<\/p>\n

Good opponents early on: From Weeks 2-7, the Jaguars face the Chiefs, Rams, and Texans, all of whom made the playoffs. Seattle, meanwhile, had 10 wins last season, the Bengals had nine, and have Joe Burrow, while the 49ers aren’t a team you count out either, even after a down season.<\/p>\n

Capitalizing late in the season? On the flip side, from Weeks 12-15, the Cardinals, Titans, Colts, and Jets all missed the playoffs last season and were below the .500 mark. The Titans and Jets were both picking in the top 10 this past April as well.<\/p>\n
