Many Green Bay Packers fans misinterpreted Brian Gutekunst\u2019s comments regarding the team\u2019s urgency<\/a> to compete for championships. Gutekunst later clarified that the \u201csense of urgency\u201d he referenced was not related to front office aggression in free agency or the draft, but rather the mindset and commitment expected within the locker room.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the urgency comment is really more for our team, our organization to understand what the expectations are,\u201d Gutekunst explained<\/a>. \u201cAt the same time, for us, I think we were very urgent in free agency.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, we went after a couple top targets (Nate Hobbs, Aaron Banks), we were able to acquire them, and I think that really is going to help our football team,\u201d he added. \u201cThe urgency comment is across the board. I think it\u2019s for our players, it\u2019s for our organization in how we\u2019re going to approach things.\u201d<\/p>\n
