ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith said he thinks Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> receiver Ja’Marr Chase should get<\/a> an automatic two-game suspension for spitting on Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey during their altercation in Pittsburgh’s 34-12\u00a0Week 11 win<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s\u00a0Adam Schefter reported<\/a>\u00a0that the NFL will review the incident<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chase\u00a0denied spitting<\/a>\u00a0on Ramsey, but Ramsey\u00a0said Chase spit<\/a>\u00a0on him before Ramsey was ejected, and Fox 19\u00a0video via Twitter\/X<\/a>\u00a0of the incident appeared to support Ramsey’s claim.<\/p>\n

The current NFL season was only six seconds old when Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>\u00a0defensive tackle Jalen Carter was disqualified during an injury timeout for spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.<\/p>\n

Former\u00a0Bengals receiver and NBC Sports color analyst\u00a0Cris Collinsworth<\/a>\u00a0shared\u00a0criticism of Carter<\/a>\u00a0when Carter was ejected after the game-opening kickoff during the NFL’s first regular-season game.<\/p>\n

The NFL ruled that Carter’s ejection served as a one-game suspension, and he forfeited his game check of $57,222.<\/p>\n

If Chase is suspended for a game, the Bengals could be without him in Week 12 against the New England Patriots.<\/p>\n

“If you spit on me, you’re allowed to punch that guy,” Dan Patrick said<\/a> on “Dan Patrick Show.” “And I hope they rescind whatever punishment they’re going to have for Jalen Ramsey. \u2026 Or better yet, make Ja’Marr Chase pay for it.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"NFL Week 11 Bengals Vs.
