THE NFL has appeared to have leaked Aaron Rodgers move to the Pittsburgh Steelers in their latest major announcement.<\/p>\n

The legendary quarterback has been locked in talks with Mike Tomlin<\/a>‘s team for months.<\/p>\n

Rodgers has been a free agent since being cut by the Jets earlier this yearCredit: Getty<\/p>\n

They are just waiting on a final decision by the 41-year-old to join them for the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

He is a free agent after being let go by the New York Jets<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n

All the indications are that he will join the Steelers to become their new starting QB.<\/p>\n

The NFL<\/a> announced their schedule for the 2025 season on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

And the Steelers will take on the Jets in a blockbuster Week 1 match-up at the Metlife Stadium.<\/p>\n

That would see Rodgers return to the home of the team he was brutally cut from just months ago.<\/p>\n

And NFL Network analyst Rich Eisen believes that gives the biggest hint yet that Rodgers will sign for the Steelers.<\/p>\n

It would bring in a mammoth live TV audience as the two battle it out.<\/p>\n

“The real one that jumps out at me in terms of a team is, we\u2019re all waiting on a particular Malibu resident to say, \u2018I am going to play football this year,\u2019” Eisen said on the network.<\/p>\n

“It does appear that the NFL believes Aaron Rodgers<\/a> will be the starting quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Otherwise, why would they put they put the Steelers in the home of the New York Jets<\/a> Week 1, right off the bat?”<\/p>\n

Rodgers recently told the Pat McAfee<\/a> Show he was willing to join a team for as little as $10 million a year.<\/p>\n

However, it is understood he will earn more than that if he does join AFC North giants.<\/p>\n

There is a suggestion he will link up with them between June 10-12<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thur 25 Dec, 8.15 pm ET – Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs, Amazon<\/p>\n

That is when the Steelers’ mandatory minicamp opens up during that three-day period.<\/p>\n

Their Jets match-up is slated for a 1pm start on Sunday 7th September in Week 1.<\/p>\n

And fans are also convinced that means Rodgers will be heading to Tomlin’s side.<\/p>\n

That, along with Justin Fields<\/a>, now of the Jets, facing the Steelers, drops a huge hint by the NFL.<\/p>\n

“This all points to Rodgers joining the Steelers,” one said on X.<\/p>\n

Another added: “Surely a Rodgers in Week 1?”<\/p>\n

A third said: “Well that’s Rodgers to the Steelers done.”<\/p>\n

And a fan commented: “Here we go!
