They play eight of their 17 games against teams from the lowly AFC South and NFC South, which were the two worst divisions in the league last year. They play 10 games against teams that had losing records in 2024. And based on their opponents\u2019 .474 combined win percentage from last season, it adds up to the 11th-easiest schedule in the league, according to the NFL<\/a>.<\/p>\n But after Wednesday\u2019s NFL schedule release \u2013 which unveiled the dates, times, bye weeks and other finer details \u2013 Seattle\u2019s 2025 slate<\/a> looks even more advantageous.<\/p>\n There are no back-to-back games against teams who had winning records last season. There\u2019s no brutal stretch of three games in 11 days, like the Seahawks had early last year. And their Week 8 bye appears to come at a good time \u2013 near the midway point of the season and ahead of a big Sunday night showdown against the Washington Commanders.<\/p>\n On Thursday\u2019s edition of Seattle Sports\u2019 Brock and Salk, Brock Huard<\/a> equated the Seahawks\u2019 2025 slate to a pasta dish where all the ingredients fit together nicely.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cYou knew (the opponents) going into it \u2013 those ingredients in the recipe,\u201d Huard said. \u201cAnd you\u2019re like, all right, how do I want to make my best pasta dish tonight? \u2026 Well, let\u2019s get that bye right at the midway mark. How many back-to-back-to-back East Coast trips? How many three games in 11 days? None of it. You\u2019ve got four 10 a.m. games, (but) they\u2019re kind of sprinkled all throughout.<\/p>\n \u201cYou get to play the Rams after they play Detroit, and you know what happens when teams play Detroit the week after<\/a>,\u201d he added. \u201cI don\u2019t see a (potential) horrible-weather game. \u2026 This is about as ideal as I could put (together) a recipe with those teams.\u201d<\/p>\n Mike Salk<\/a> agreed with that assessment.<\/p>\n \u201cI do think this is about as good as it could be,\u201d Salk said. \u201cWhether it\u2019s the quarterback index or the rest index or the bye week index, they\u2019re all pretty favorable for the Seahawks in terms of what they\u2019re looking at. \u2026 I don\u2019t know what else you could possibly ask for in a schedule other than this.\u201d<\/p>\n Listen to the full Brock and Salk conversation at this link<\/a> or in the audio player near the middle of this story.
