The NFL regular season schedule has been released, and the Tennessee Titans<\/a> now know what lies before them as they try to improve from their 3-14 2024 season. While there was some disappointment and shock that they didn\u2019t land any prime-time games, now that they know they will open on the road in Denver, they have something to focus on.<\/p>\n

The Titans will face a tough road trip in Cam Ward\u2019s likely NFL debut. The Broncos<\/a> will challenge the rookie quarterback and the new-look offensive line with one of the better pass-rush units in the league.<\/p>\n

Talk about the Broncos has already started, including speculation on how Tennessee can reap the mental benefits of signing linebacker Cody Barton and his intimate knowledge of their Week 1 opponent. While the staff should tap into that, they also need to start preparing for training camp and their preseason slate. The preseason will be crucial with so many new faces on the roster.<\/p>\n

The opening preseason game is always interesting, as head coaches usually attempt to get a look at everyone on the roster, and the younger players are generally a significant focus. The Titans have a lot of young players who should get their opportunity to shine.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay should be a good challenge. While they appear to be headed for an up-and-down season, they have the talent to compete for a playoff berth and potentially a division crown. They have a solid roster and should present the Titans a challenge right out of the gate.<\/p>\n

Week 2 – at Atlanta Falcons<\/p>\n

Last season, head coach Brian Callahan decided to rest most of the veterans in their second preseason game after having joint practice sessions leading into the game. After adding two first-round edge rushers in the 2025 NFL draft and upgrading the secondary, the team has a real chance to win the division for the first time since 2016.<\/p>\n

Week 3 – vs. Minnesota Vikings – August 22<\/p>\n

What a surprise! The Titans’ Week 3 matchup is scheduled for a national television broadcast, and Cam Ward should be introduced to the masses. In what is usually a dress rehearsal for both teams, the Vikings should provide the Titans with an outstanding opponent to fully gauge their position heading into the regular season.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Callahan game-planned their battle with the New Orleans Saints in the preseason finale, and it will be interesting to see if he does the same this season.<\/p>\n

The Vikings will also be breaking in a new young quarterback and shouldn\u2019t hold back with the gauntlet they face in the NFC North. Plus, their defense is known for an attacking style built on athleticism and confusion. These factors should help prepare Tennessee for its trip to Denver.<\/p>\n
