Leeds United have plenty to do this summer in the transfer window, with incomings the priority but sales also expected to be necessary.<\/p>\n

The Whites have already seen numerous players being linked with a transfer switch to Leeds<\/a>, although Leeds United<\/a> are yet to reveal their retained and released list as of now.<\/p>\n

The players are all on their holidays, including many in Las Vegas. However, not all of them will be Leeds players this time next season as the 49ers<\/a> and Daniel Farke<\/a> look to upgrade the floor and ceiling of the squad.<\/p>\n

The 49ers could green light an overhaul<\/a> but there are also Leeds players who could be vital in terms of PSR<\/a> as well. There are many moving parts which will have knock-on effects to each other as the window develops.<\/p>\n

Graham Smyth expects Patrick Bamford to depart<\/a> from a Leeds team who will be one of the busiest sides<\/a> in the Premier League during the window this summer.<\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 financial concerns in the market<\/a> could mean players are sold that fans are not expecting, which Smyth has since outlined when speaking to Joe Donnohue.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cOne of the big things to keep in mind this summer is Leeds probably will need a sale or two. <\/p>\n

\u201cYes, you\u2019ve gone up, but that doesn\u2019t necessarily mean you\u2019ve got the headroom to make the expenditure you want.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou might need to do some clever wheeling and dealing and some clever accountancy.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd, when you look at the squad, the players that give you the most headroom are actually some of those where you wouldn\u2019t naturally think, \u2018yeah, we\u2019ll ship him on\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s even players who you think will be good enough. There\u2019s some big decisions to make, for sure. I almost wouldn\u2019t take anything off the table.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were pretty ruthless when it came to the Glen Kamara thing.\u00a0I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0think he put up a huge struggle to try and stay but he\u2019d only been there a year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey saw a chance to turn a profit and to elevate the profile of the midfield, to augment the profile of the midfield with more attacking options, and with more assists and more goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cStaying up is the absolute priority. I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0think sentiment or loyalty or \u2018you won us the title\u2019 will particularly come into it.\u00a0I think even fan favouritism will not even weigh that heavily.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think\u00a0it\u2019ll\u00a0all entirely be about the money.\u00a0What the money could mean in terms of spending and replacing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will be an element of ruthlessness and maybe a surprise or two when it comes to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Smyth cleared up the Junior Firpo situation<\/a> as well recently, but he is expected to depart by most this summer. It will create more work this summer for the club, but it is absolutely necessary.<\/p>\n

Sam Byram and Josuha Guilavogui will almost certainly follow suit in the process, meaning Leeds will have to find squad players as well as first-team starters.<\/p>\n

The likes of Rasmus Kristensen, Jack Harrison, and Illan Meslier won\u2019t fill much of a PSR hole, which is why Willy Gnonto, Pascal Struijk, and Mateo Joseph are likely to be at risk in terms of raising funds.<\/p>\n
