They’re addressed their major weaknesses and young players are coming into their own. Buffalo has depth at ket positions all over the roster. I don’t think I’m a home when I say the Bills have a better roster than the one they took to the AFC Championship Game and their offensive and defensive coordinators both have one year of experience under their belts.

Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 7 vs. Baltimore Ravens, 8:20 p.m., NBC

During the playoffs this past season, the Bills beat the Ravens as much as Baltimore beat themselves. Their option game was deadly in the Wild Card round but they put it on the shelf against Buffalo and they took their foot off the Derrick Henry express for some reason. I don’t anticipate that happening again when Baltimore has a chance to reset their thinking for Week 1. I think Baltimore easily wins this game riding a fresh Henry against a depleted Bills front four without Larry Ogunjobi and Michael Hoecht. Prove me wrong, fellas. RESULT: Bills loss (0-1)

Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 14 at New York Jets, 1 p.m., CBS

If they can’t bounce back with a win over the Jets and Justin Fields with a brand new roster in Jersey, it’s going to be a long season. RESULT: Bills win (1-1)

Week 3: Thursday, Sept. 18 vs. Miami Dolphins, 8:15 p.m., Amazon

The Buffalo Bills don’t often lose to Miami, and the duo of Sean McDermott and Josh Allen have the Dolphins’ number on both sides of the ball. It’s in Buffalo with the second-straight lubed up crowd that had all day to party in the lot. RESULT: Bills win (2-1)

Week 4: Sunday, Sept. 28 vs. New Orleans Saints, 1 p.m., CBS

A must-win game against a team with a new head coach, no quarterback, and a cap-strapped roster. RESULT: Bills win (3-1)

Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 5 vs. New England Patriots, 8:20 p.m., NBC

I love this game as a measuring stick for the Patriots’ young roster. I don’t expect Stefon Diggs to be fully healthy, but New England is stacking some very good offseason decisions. They aren’t quite ready to hand under the big lights. RESULT: Bills win (4-1)

Week 6: Monday, Oct. 13 at Atlanta Falcons, 7:15 p.m., ESPN

A really fun road game for Bills fans on the day many folks have off of work, I expect there will be a lot of blue and red in the ATL. Michael Penix is a wild card here who could will the Falcons to a victory, but there will be a few weeks of tape on him by now. I think this is a fun game, and one where Buffalo may need to outscore on offense rather than stifle on defense. RESULT: Bills win (5-1)

Week 7: Bye Week

I really wish this was later in the year, but if they get to the bye at 5-1 with three divisional wins already, they’ll be in really good position. Install for KC starts now.

Week 8: Sunday, Oct. 26 at Carolina Panthers, 1 p.m., FOX

Carolina is going to be better this year and I think Bryce Young is ready to take a step in the right direction. They can’t hang with the Bills, but they won’t be doormats. RESULT: Bills win (6-1)

Week 9: Sunday, Nov. 2 vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 4:25 p.m., CBS

The Bills host the Chiefs in the regular season again. Kansas City has a brutal opening schedule with a divisional game in Brazil, the Super Bowl champs, the Ravens, and Lions in the first six weeks. Kansas City will also be on a rest deficit AND traveling for this game after playing the Commanders on Monday night. Between all that and Buffalo’s bye, I think the Bills are more ready to play than Kansas City. RESULT: Bills win (7-1)

Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 9 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m., CBS

November in Miami shouldn’t be too bad for the heat. Miami is coming off a mini-bye after the Ravens on Thursday night, so they’ll be ready and champing at the bit. If the Dolphins have a chance to beat the Bills, it doesn’t get a lot better than this one. I do not trust Miami’s offensive line to get the job done against Buffalo’s mix of young players and fresh veterans. I flip-flopped on this result multiple times, but the Bills always have some midseason faceplants. RESULT: Bills loss (7-2)

Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 16 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1 p.m., CBS

The Bucs are so plucky and Mike Evans is so freaking good. Their defense ultimately can’t keep up with Buffalo and the Bills win a high-scoring affair. RESULT: Bills win (8-2)

Week 12: Thursday, Nov. 20 at Houston Texans, 8:15 p.m., Amazon

The way the Houston Texans approached this offseason made no sense to me and is the opposite of the Bills. They have a receiver coming off a devastating injury and lost Stefon Diggs, replacing him with Christian Kirk. They traded away their best offensive lineman and replaced him with a guy in Cam Robinson that’s been a huge red flag. They’re got a defense you have to respect, but that offense is held together by duct tape. Maybe by this point in the season Tank Dell will be close enough to 100% to be scary, but I’ll have to wait and see it. RESULT: Bills win (9-2)

Week 13: Sunday, Nov. 30 at Pittsburgh Steelers, 4:25 p.m., CBS

The Steelers have this awesome pass rush and it didn’t matter for one second last year. The Bills have invested in their offensive line and it shows plus they’ve had great luck in the health department. If the Bills can protect Josh Allen, they can put enough points on the board to beat whoever is under center for the Steelers. RESULT: Bills win (10-2)

Week 14, Sunday, Dec. 7: vs. Cincinnati Bengals, 4:25 p.m., FOX

Like the Texans, the Bengals make zero sense to me. This game could be 52-48 by the end of it, because the Bengals defense is so sus. They haven’t really upgraded their defense outside of a new play-caller and their best defender is pissed at them without a contract. Cincy has some of the best playmakers in the NFL in their offense but no protection. The Bengals can no doubt put up enough points to win a shootout, but one of these weak points will give way against Buffalo, just like it did in so many Bengals games last year. RESULT: Bills win (11-2)

Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 14 at New England Patriots, 1 p.m., CBS

A late-season trip to New England!? You don’t say. I think this is the week the Bills sew up the division and show the Patriots they are still number two. RESULT: Bills win (12-2)

Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 21 at Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m., CBS

Who is going to be starting QB for Cleveland by this point? Their record is going to be terrible, so it could be one of the rookies. Regardless, this is a team starting over with an aging offensive line. Buffalo needs to put them down. RESULT: Bills win (13-2)

Week 17: Dec. 28 vs. Philadelphia Eagles, 4:25 p.m., FOX

With a loss to the Ravens, the Bills probably have not sewn up the one seed at this time, so they’ll be playing their starters. Philly has the Commanders in their division and several teams at the top of the NFC they’ll be fighting. Some people are worried this game could be backups on the field, but I’m not one of them. The last time they played, Josh Allen’s offense took the lead twice after the two-minute warning and the defense surrendered game-tying and game-winning scores. I think it’s at Buffalo so the Bills win, but I am not confident about it and honestly I’d prioritize getting healthy and saving tricks in my toolbox for the Super Bowl over winning this game if it came down to it. RESULT: Bills win (14-2)

Week 18: Jan. 3-4, vs. New York Jets, TBD

The Ravens are going to lose some games this year against a brutal schedule. With the one seed locked up, the Bills rest their starters and turn this into a farewell party for Highmark Stadium. They lose to a Justin Fields team that has a lot to play for in order to secure future jobs. RESULT: Bills loss (14-3)

With this result, the Bills get to host at least one more playoff game at the old stadium. Wouldn’t it be cool if they got to host the AFC Championship Game that sent Buffalo back to the Super Bowl? They might save a lot of the cost of tearing it down…

Hit up the comments section right now to share your thoughts.
