Hear the full conversation on \u201cInside Coverage\u201d – and subscribe on Apple Podcasts<\/a>, Spotify<\/a>, YouTube<\/a> or wherever you listen.<\/a><\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n View more<\/p>\n Video Transcript<\/p>\n Frank, you knew I thought the Jets were gonna suck a year ago.<\/p>\n Uh, I still think that the Jets are gonna suck now, so I’m kind of in repeat mode with the Jets, but not everybody was there.<\/p>\n So the over under on this Jets team is 5.5 compared to where you were a year ago.<\/p>\n Are you at rise, repeat, or retreat on the Jets, Frank?<\/p>\n Uh, retreat.<\/p>\n It’s got to be.<\/p>\n They, they went all in on Aaron Rodgers and got beat.<\/p>\n They didn’t have the best hand.<\/p>\n Uh, you.<\/p>\n Put all of your resources into trying to make a run with Aaron Rodgers and you ended up with a five-win season.<\/p>\n Like it’s, it’s so, like I love Aaron Glenn.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n I don’t think there’s something there with Justin Fields where, where he might, he, he brings some things to the table, but we all know his limitations as a quarterback.<\/p>\n Uh just.<\/p>\n They do have some talented players, but I just think that the malaise of the Jets, it’s going to take some time to to get over what they tried to do with Aaron Rodgers and how badly they failed.<\/p>\n And obviously ownership is just dreadful.<\/p>\n So there’s that roadblock in their way.<\/p>\n I think Aaron Glenn is going to be a good fit there.<\/p>\n I think he’s going to be a good fit in that market.<\/p>\n I think he’s going to do good things, but not this year.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n I, I think this is going to be a tough year for them.<\/p>\n A lot of talent left.<\/p>\n Yeah.<\/p>\n Some of that talent was old, washed up, whatever you want to say, but at the same time, you lost a lot of pieces.<\/p>\n This seems like a total rebuild to me and the fact that Justin Fields is just a guy, it’s like, OK, well, that’s fine.<\/p>\n You could do worse, but I don’t know that necessarily he’s lifting you up to a playoff season or anything like that.<\/p>\n So yes, definitely in retreat mode with the Jets.<\/p>\n I don’t think there’s gonna be a good season for them.<\/p>\n I think in a couple of years.<\/p>\n Glenn’s going to have have them better in a better place, but it’s going to take a while, and they’re going to need some help from ownership.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n They’re going to need Woody Johnson to get better like that.<\/p>\n That is at the front of the priority list.<\/p>\n He doesn’t realize it.<\/p>\n He doesn’t have the self-awareness to realize he needs to get better.<\/p>\n He does, and maybe if he does, then the Jets can get out of this, just rut there in the longest postseason drought in North American professional sports right now.<\/p>\n I don’t think that changes this year.<\/p>\n
