The Minnesota Vikings will hit the road to take on the Seattle Seahawks. The two teams have a long history of players who have worn both jerseys. This year, Vikings fans will enjoy seeing Sam Darnold line up against the team that helped revitalize his career. Unfortnately, he likely won\u2019t be playing against his replacement J.J. McCarthy. With Thanksgiving around the corner and the holidays approaching, I wanted to publish this post earlier than the usual Friday.<\/p>\n
Max Brosmer is making his first NFL start. I\u2019m not expecting much out of this game for the Vikings. The team is basically eliminated from playoff contention already. If Brosmer looks like a competent QB, it\u2019ll be hard to justify marching J.J. back out there next week. Expecting a rookie quarterback to excel in their first year usually sets you up for disappointment. On the other side of the ball, the Vikings defense has played well. The sacks and turnovers aren\u2019t there in the numbers from prior years, but if the offense doesn\u2019t give the ball away in their own territory, the opposing teams are struggling to put up points. They will be tested this week against one of the league\u2019s strongest offenses and best passing duos: JSN and Darnold. I\u2019d like to think Brosmer can do big things, but I don\u2019t see that being likely.<\/p>\n
