The Eagles<\/a> play 17 games against 14 different teams in 2025 and with 10 playoff opponents on the schedule, they are going to see some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s Detroit\u2019s Jared Goff<\/a>, whose 111.8 passer rating was second only to Baltimore\u2019s Lamar Jackson last season. There\u2019s Buffalo\u2019s Josh Allen<\/a>, the 2024 league MVP. There\u2019s Kansas City\u2019s Patrick Mahomes<\/a>, a two-time MVP and three-time Super Bowl champion.<\/p>\n

The Eagles, of course, are themselves well equipped at quarterback with Jalen Hurts,<\/a> the reigning Super Bowl MVP. He has already beaten every quarterback he has faced on the Eagles\u2019 2025 schedule with the exception of the Chargers\u2019 Justin Herbert.<\/p>\n

Hurts, in fact, has a 34-17 record against the Eagles\u2019 2025 opponents, including a 5-3 record in the playoffs. He also has posted a 91.2 passer rating while throwing 59 touchdowns and 31 interceptions against the upcoming schedule.<\/p>\n

Most impressive, however, are his rushing stats. In 31 games, Hurts has rushed for 2,225 yards on 452 carries and scored 39 touchdowns. He has averaged 4.9 yards per carry.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how the Eagles and Hurts have done against their 14 opponents during the upcoming season:<\/p>\n

Dak Prescott:<\/a> Week 1 in Philadelphia and Week 12 at Dallas<\/p>\n

Prescott missed the Cowboys\u2019 final nine games last season, including both games against the Eagles, because of a gruesome hamstring injury, but there\u2019s no denying he has had a ton of career success against Philadelphia. His record as a starter against them is 9-4 with a 66.8 completion percentage and a 100.6 passer rating. He has thrown 24 touchdowns and 8 interceptions in the 13 games.<\/p>\n

The Eagles are 1-4 in their last five games against Prescott and he has been sensational, completing 71.3 percent of his passes for 1,525 yards with 16 touchdowns and one interception.<\/p>\n

Hurts, in seven career games against the Cowboys, is 4-3 with a 63.8 completion percentage and a 94.9 passer rating. He has nine touchdown passes and five interceptions.<\/p>\n

What we\u2019ve rarely seen since Hurts has become the Eagles\u2019 starter is a matchup against Prescott. They\u2019ve only faced each other three times with Prescott winning twice in Dallas and Hurts winning the only game in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

With the teams meeting on opening day we should get to see another.<\/p>\n

Patrick Mahomes: Week 2 at Kansas City<\/p>\n

No active quarterback has accomplished more than Mahomes, a two-time MVP, a three-time Super Bowl champion and a six-time Pro Bowler. He has, however, been humbled in his last two meetings against the Eagles, losing at home to them in 2023 and in last year\u2019s Super Bowl when he was sacked six times and threw two interceptions.<\/p>\n

Overall, Mahomes is 2-2 against the Eagles. He has completed 68.9% of his passes for 894 yards with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions for a 107.9 passer rating.<\/p>\n

In his four starts against the Chiefs and Mahomes, Hurts has a 100.7 passer rating with five touchdowns and two interceptions and he has run for 218 yards and six touchdowns. He out played Mahomes in both Super Bowls, but that\u2019s not entirely reflected in the numbers because the Chiefs\u2019 QB threw for two touchdowns against the Eagles\u2019 backups in the final three minutes of Super Bowl LIX.<\/a><\/p>\n

Matthew Stafford: Week 3 in Philadelphia<\/p>\n

Besides Mahomes, Stafford is the only quarterback on the Eagles\u2019 schedule who has won a Super Bowl, leading the Rams to the title four years ago against Cincinnati. It will be interesting to see how the Hall of Fame voters view him because he has been to just two Pro Bowls in his career, but he ranks 10th in all-time passing yards.<\/p>\n

He nearly rallied the Rams to an upset of the Eagles in the NFC Divisional round<\/a> despite blizzard-like conditions at the Linc. Despite his exceptional late-game play, he did lose a fumble and was sacked five times.<\/p>\n

For his career, Stafford is 4-4 against the Eagles. His career completion percentage against them is a pedestrian 59.2% and the Eagles have forced nine Stafford fumbles and recovered three of them. On the other hand, Stafford has 16 touchdown passes and just one interception in his eight meetings.<\/p>\n

Hurts is 3-0 against the Rams and Stafford. He has completed 68.8% with two touchdowns and one interception. Like so many opponents, Hurts has hurt the Rams with his legs, running 34 times for 181 yards and two touchdowns against them.<\/p>\n

Baker Mayfield: Week 4 at Tampa Bay<\/p>\n

It\u2019s debatable whether Mayfield will ever be the guy who takes the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl title. What\u2019s not debatable is the fits he gives the Eagles. Including a start with Cleveland in 2020, Mayfield is 3-1 against the Eagles with six TD passes and one interception. His best performance against them came in the playoffs two seasons ago when he threw for 349 yards and three TDs.<\/p>\n

Hurts has had his struggles<\/a> against the Bucs. In addition to a 1-4 record, he has a 74.7 passer rating, thanks to five interceptions in his five starts. He also lost a fumble in last year\u2019s lopsided loss at Tampa Bay. The Bucs have also done a great job against Hurts as a runner, holding him to 3.7 yards per carry.<\/p>\n

Bo Nix: Week 5 in Philadelphia<\/p>\n

The Eagles have not faced Nix, who had a sensational rookie season for the Broncos.<\/p>\n

In his only meeting against the Broncos in Week 10 of the 2021 season, Hurts completed 16 of 23 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-13 Eagles\u2019 victory.<\/p>\n

Russell Wilson: Week 6 in East Rutherford and Week 8 in Philadelphia<\/p>\n

Wilson was 6-0 against the Eagles when he was with the Seahawks, but they finally beat him last season<\/a> when he started for the Steelers in Week 15 at Lincoln Financial Field.<\/p>\n

Wilson\u2019s numbers against the Eagles, which include an early 2020 playoff win at the Linc, are impressive. He has a 66.2 completion percentage and a 104.4 passer rating, thanks to the fact he has thrown 10 TDs and just one interception against the Eagles.<\/p>\n

Hurts is 7-3 against the Giants<\/a> despite a 76.9 passer rating that can directly traced to his six interceptions against them. The Giants are another team, however, that has been burned often by Hurts\u2019 legs. He has rushed for 269 yards and five touchdowns against them.<\/p>\n

J.J. McCarthy: Week 7 at Minnesota<\/p>\n

McCarthy missed his entire rookie season with a knee injury after leading Michigan to a national championship and undefeated season in 2023.<\/p>\n

Hurts is 2-0 against the Vikings with an 81.5 completion percentage and 104.2 passer rating. He\u2019s thrown two touchdowns and two interceptions while running for 92 yards and four touchdowns on 23 carries.<\/p>\n

Jordan Love: Week 9 at Green Bay<\/p>\n

The Eagles beat Love twice<\/a> last season, which was the first time he had started against them. He threw two touchdowns and four interceptions in the game, including three picks in the Packers\u2019 playoff loss at the Linc. He had a completion percentage of 55.2 percent and a passer rating of 62.5 in the two games.<\/p>\n

Hurts is 3-0 as a starter against the Packers with six touchdowns and two interceptions. He\u2019s also run for 226 yards on 36 carries in his three starts against the Pack, including a career-high 157 in 2022.<\/p>\n

Jared Goff: Week 11 at Detroit<\/p>\n

Goff is 1-4 against the Eagles with the only win coming during a 2020 start with the Rams. He has played well against them, however, posting a 66.1 completion percentage and a 94.9 passer rating while throwing seven touchdowns and two interceptions. He has more weapons now than at any other time in his career.<\/p>\n

Hurts has made two career starts against the Lions and Goff, winning both of them. He completed just 58.7% of his passes without throwing a touchdown in the two games, but he did run 24 times for 161 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n

Caleb Williams: Week 13 in Philadelphia<\/p>\n

The Eagles have never faced Williams, who was the first overall pick by the Bears in the 2024 draft.<\/p>\n

Hurts won his only career start against the Bears in the 2022 season, but it wasn\u2019t a particularly happy memory. He threw two interceptions and suffered a rib injury that kept him out of the following two games. He did also throw for 315 yards and run for 61 yards and three touchdowns that day.<\/p>\n

Justin Herbert: Week 14 in Los Angeles<\/p>\n

The Chargers\u2019 quarterback was sensational in his only career start against the Eagles in Week 9 of the 2021 season at the Linc. He completed 32 of 38 passes for 356 yards and two touchdowns while also leading his team on a 64-yard drive that led to the game-winning field goal with two seconds remaining.<\/p>\n

Hurts played well that day, too, completing 11 of 17 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown to DeVonta Smith that tied the game in the fourth quarter. He also ran 10 times for 62 yards.<\/p>\n

Geno Smith: Week 15 in Las Vegas<\/p>\n

Remarkably, Smith has never faced the Eagles during his 11-year career, but since returning to a starting role three seasons ago with the Seahawks he has been terrific, posting a 27-22 record with 71 touchdown passes and a 95.5 passer rating.<\/p>\n

Hurts lost his only start against the Raiders in a Week 7 game during the 2021 season. The Raiders no longer have any resemblance to that team and Hurts, of course, is a much different quarterback.<\/p>\n

Jayden Daniels: Week 16 at Washington and Week 18 in Philadelphia<\/p>\n

The 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year faced the Eagles three times, including in the NFC Championship and it was easy to see why he has made the Commanders feel very good about their future.<\/p>\n

But he was really only great in the second meeting<\/a> when he threw five touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Commanders rallied to win in the final seconds.<\/p>\n

His cumulative stats for the three games: 75-for-119 for 704 yards with seven touchdown passes and four interceptions. He ran 22 times for 147 yards.<\/p>\n

Hurts is 7-3 against the Commanders, but one of the losses charged to him was the game down in Landover, Md., which he left in the first quarter with a concussion.<\/p>\n

He has been brilliant against the Commanders his entire career and was sensational in the NFC Championship. Hurts has 13 passing touchdowns and nine rushing touchdowns in 10 career games against Washington. His career completion percentage against Washington is 65.7 and his career passer rating is 102.7.<\/p>\n

Josh Allen: Week 17 at Buffalo<\/p>\n

The Eagles have faced Allen twice and beaten him both times. He fumbled three times in his first career start against them in 2019 and completed just 16 of 34 passes for 169 yards in a 30-13.<\/p>\n

Two years ago at the Linc, Allen was much better, but Hurts accounted for five touchdowns<\/a> (three passing and two rushing) to lead the Eagles to a thrilling overtime victory. That was the last great moment of the 2023 season. It was also Hurts\u2019 only career start against the Bills.<\/p>\n
