This should\u2019ve been a juicy matchup of two second year QBs, but injuries and poor play have dampened the mood. After a 3-2 start, the Commanders have lost seven straight. Their last win came on October 5. Jayden Daniels looked like the future of the NFL in his rookie season, but he\u2019s only been on the field for half of the team\u2019s twelve games. The Vikings have been inconsistent all season, dealing with quarterback injuries of their own. Cue the Spider-Man meme pointing at each other.<\/p>\n

This game opened with the Commanders as the favorite but quickly flipped to the Vikings being favored at home. Normally, that would indicate bad news on the injury front for Washington, but I don\u2019t think that\u2019s the case. Daniels was a full participant in Thursday\u2019s practice. It\u2019s hard to tell whether this shift reflects confidence in the Vikings or pessimism about the Commanders. Either way, I don\u2019t see Minnesota figuring this out.<\/p>\n
The offense isn\u2019t just bad\u2014it\u2019s like watching the Hall of Fame Game in the preseason. I\u2019ve seen Pee Wee football teams with a more cohesive passing attack. Can it happen? Of course. But I\u2019m not predicting a Christmas miracle for the Vikings. I see no reason this team will suddenly gel.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m taking the over because I think these teams will gift each other short fields with turnovers and special teams disasters.<\/p>\n
