Troubled ex-NFL star Antonio Brown appears to pull out a gun before shots are fired in shocking footage from a boxing event in Miami on Friday night.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old, who spent more than a decade in the NFL, was attending a fight night organized by online influencer Adin Ross at Miami’s Brand Risk Warehouse.<\/p>\n

In videos, which quickly flooded social media, Brown can be seen brawling with a group of men whom he later claimed were attempting to ‘steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me’.<\/p>\n

Brown is dragged to the floor by a man who, it later emerges, was a member of security trying to protect him. In the carnage, however, Brown kicks out at the man.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, in other clips, the former NFL star re-appears from behind a car carrying what appears to be a firearm in his hand.<\/p>\n

The videos show him rushing outside before a couple of gunshots are heard, causing panicked bystanders to flee.<\/p>\n

The ex-wide receiver spent more than a decade in the NFL, ending his career with Tampa Bay<\/p>\n

In another clip that appeared on social media, the 36-year-old can be seen being led out – with his arms behind his back – by a police officer.<\/p>\n

Brown later insisted, however, that he was not arrested. ‘Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED,’ he wrote on social media.<\/p>\n

DailyMail.com has contacted Miami police for comment but officers told TMZ<\/a> that they responded to a call around 3am and several people were interviewed. No arrests were made and no injuries were reported but the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n

A topless Brown did appear on Ross’ social media stream following the incident, when he initially claimed he couldn’t remember what happened.<\/p>\n

‘I blacked out… I don’t know what happened,’ he said. ‘I have CTE,’ he added, referring to chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a brain condition that afflicts many former football players.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, however, Brown discussed his run-in with the cops. ‘They tried to take me to the movies,’ he said. ‘The cop was gripping me up… I’m like: “I didn’t do nothing bro…”‘<\/p>\n

He later released a statement on social media.<\/p>\n

‘Regarding the boxing event that happened last night. I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me,’ it read.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ex-NFL star Brown\u00a0has a history of making controversial statements on social media<\/p>\n

‘Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED.<\/p>\n

‘I will be talking to my legal council and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me.<\/p>\n

Brown has become infamous in retirement for making controversial statements on social media, attacking the likes of Tom Brady and Caitlin Clark. Ahead of last year’s presidential election, he also spoke at a Donald Trump rally.<\/p>\n
