Buffalo Bills<\/a> head coach Sean McDermott has commented on the whacky nature of what unfolded with his team’s roster this past week.<\/p>\n

The Bills claimed veteran cornerback Darius Slay off of waivers. He decided not to report to the team<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In order to make room for that initial move, Buffalo had to make room for Slay in a corresponding move. The Bills decided to release cornerback Ja’Marcus Ingram.<\/p>\n

Ingram, 28, has been in Buffalo his entire NFL career since signing with the Bills as an undrafted rookie in 2022 out of the University of Buffalo. The Bills helped mold him into a NFL player.<\/p>\n

Because of Slay, the Bills lost him for nothing because he was then claimed by the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n

In the end, Buffalo went on to claim safety Darnell Savage off waivers<\/a> on Friday. Head coach Sean McDermott still did not sound very happy about what unfolded with the Slay-Ingram saga.<\/p>\n

McDermott only commented on losing Ingram specifically, calling it “unfortunate.” The coach declined an opportunity to make addition comments on Slay.<\/p>\n
