Carolina Panthers<\/a> rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan looked awfully good when he hit the NFL practice field for the first time this past week.<\/p>\n

“He looks smooth, easy to throw to\u2014just like we thought,” head coach Dave Canales told reporters<\/a> after Friday’s outing of rookie minicamp. “I got a chance to kinda bop around between offense and defense. But in the little bit that I saw\u2014I’ll go back and watch a little bit more\u2014but the little bit I saw with the individual drills, you can see the route-crafting, the guy just works on his craft. He comes in ready to go, so really excited about it.”<\/p>\n

But did he look just as good when putting on an NFL uniform for the first time?<\/p>\n

McMillan was one of about 40 2025 draft picks to attend this year’s NFL Players Association Rookie Premiere event. And he, along with teammate and fourth-round running back Trevor Etienne, got to sport the full Panthers threads on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Those rookies, and those uniforms, may be in real on-field action for the first time later this summer\u2014when the Panthers begin their preseason slate<\/a> against the Cleveland Browns on Aug. 8.<\/p>\n
