The challenges for Big Blue just keep on coming.

But last year is last year. The Giants have undergone a makeover of sorts on both sides of the football. On defense, they’ve added veterans to the secondary (Paulson Adebo, Jevon Holland) and two rookies with a ton of petential to their front seven in linebacker Abdul Carter and defensive tackle Darius Alexander.

But it is on offense where the Giants will see a big difference. They’ve redone thie quarterback room, shedding themselves of Daniel Jones and Drew Lock and adding Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and rookie Jaxson Dart.

Wilson will be the Giants’ starter when the season begins and promises to be a significant upgrade over the previous group.

This week, Wilson appeared on ESPN this week and discussed the brutal schedule he and his new teammates wiff face this season.

“The only way to win a bunch of games is to focus on right now, and that’s always the case during the season or whatever. We’re looking forward to playing against all of these good teams and who we can be,” said Wilson.

Wilson spoke about his relationship so far with head coach Brian Daboll, who he has great admiration for. He is excited to be working with the Giants’ young receiving corps, specifically naming third-year wideout Jalin Hyatt, a player many fans have written off after two disappointing seasons.

There’s no question that Malik Nabers will be Wilson’s main target this year. Nabers set an NFL record for receptions by a rookie wide receiver in 2024 and has unlimited potential.

“What I love about him, man, is that he can make every freaking play,” Wilson said of Nabers. “I mean this guy is a rock star.”

Getting back to the schedule, Wilson has been down this road before. He is a 10-time Pro Bowler and has appeared in two Super Bowls, winning one. He enjoys a good challenge and appears to be ready to lead the Giants into the teeth of an early slate of games which begins on the road in Washington and Dallas.

“If you’re a competitor, you don’t want it any other way,” said Wilson. “I want to play the best. To be the best, you got to try to beat the best.”

Wilson also spoke about his relationship with Dart, who the Giants’ would like to see develop into their quarterback of the future.

“He’s a young, bright kid,” said Wilson. “I’m looking forward to whatever way I can mentor and help him. That’s going to be fun. too.”

Wilson is living his best life and his enthusiasm is contagious. He is happy to be a Giant and, if things go as hoped, the Giants will be happy he’s a Giant, too.

The 2025 NFL regualr seaosn schedule was released this week and the New York Giants, who finshed 3-14…

[2067
247,265,7,519,19495,19494,16744,248,267,206,1917,56,88,2321,2469,6,245,537,530,2942,572,9,266,1434,225
0":"post-59484","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-york-giants","8":"tag-american","9":"tag-american-football","10":"tag-football","11":"tag-giants","12":"tag-hyatt","13":"tag-jalin","14":"tag-jalin-hyatt","15":"tag-national","16":"tag-national-sports","17":"tag-new","18":"tag-new-york","19":"tag-new-york-giants","20":"tag-news","21":"tag-newyork","22":"tag-newyorkgiants","23":"tag-nfl","24":"tag-overall","25":"tag-overall-positive","26":"tag-positive","27":"tag-russell","28":"tag-russell-wilson","29":"tag-sports","30":"tag-sports-news","31":"tag-wilson","32":"tag-york
["GET
