{"id":596034,"date":"2025-12-13T00:02:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-13T00:02:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/596034\/"},"modified":"2025-12-13T00:02:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-13T00:02:14","slug":"jim-harbaugh-still-processing-sherrone-moore-michigan-scandal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/596034\/","title":{"rendered":"Jim Harbaugh &#8216;still processing&#8217; Sherrone Moore-Michigan scandal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jim Harbaugh had few words about the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/12\/sports\/ex-michigan-football-coach-sherrone-moore-told-mistress-he-was-going-to-make-her-watch-him-kill-himself-my-blood-is-on-your-hands\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sherrone Moore scandal<\/a> on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The former Michigan head coach and current Chargers bench boss, who hired Moore at Michigan in 2018, was asked by reporters about the debacle on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m still processing that,\u201d Harbaugh said. \u201cStill processing that like a lot of people, I\u2019m sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Moore worked under Harbaugh for six seasons, rising from a tight ends coach to the Wolverines\u2019 offensive coordinator in Michigan\u2019s 2023 national championship-winning season, Harbaugh\u2019s last in Ann Arbor.<\/p>\n<p>During that season, Moore filled in for the suspended Harbaugh for four games, going 4-0 with a win over rival Ohio State en route to the College Football Playoff and a national title.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37917074\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/AP_Eagles_Chargers_Football_21631-e7da3-0.jpg\" alt=\"Jim Harbaugh of the Los Angeles Chargers wearing a cap and sweatshirt with team logos.\" class=\"wp-image-37917074\"  \/>Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh answers questions after an NFL football game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, in Inglewood, Calif. AP<\/p>\n<p>After that championship run, Harbaugh bolted for Los Angeles and later spoke highly of Moore after he was hired as his replacement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSherrone is the right man for the job,\u201d Harbaugh said during his introductory press conference with the Chargers. \u201cThat\u2019s the guy, and [Michigan] got it right.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the latest on former Michigan coach Sherrone Moore<\/p>\n<p>He was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/10\/sports\/michigan-fires-sherrone-moore-for-inappropriate-relationship\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fired by the school on Wednesday<\/a> for having an inappropriate relationship with a Wolverines staff member.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/12\/sports\/ex-michigan-football-coach-sherrone-moore-told-mistress-he-was-going-to-make-her-watch-him-kill-himself-my-blood-is-on-your-hands\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Moore allegedly broke into an apartment<\/a> belonging to his executive assistant, Paige Shiver, grabbing butter knives and kitchen scissors from a drawer, prosecutors Friday.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37911321\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2025-ann-arbor-michigan-u-117128783_756758.jpg\" alt=\"University of Michigan Football Coach Sherrone Moore on the sidelines before the Michigan Ohio State game in Ann Arbor, Michigan on November 29, 2025.\" class=\"wp-image-37911321\"  \/>University of Michigan Football Coach Sherrone Moore on the sidelines before the Michigan Ohio State game in Ann Arbor, Michigan on November 29, 2025.
