The Buffalo Bills<\/a> won’t have one of quarterback Josh Allen’s favorite targets on the field for their Week 15 game against the New England Patriots<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That favorite target is wide receiver Gabe Davis, who was on the team’s inactives list<\/a> ahead of kickoff against the Patriots.<\/p>\n

Here’s what we know about the reason behind Davis’ inactive status.<\/p>\n

Why Gabe Davis is inactive for Bills<\/p>\n

Davis is not dealing with an injury, so he is indeed a healthy scratch.<\/p>\n

There’s a few reasons why that’s the case.<\/p>\n

For starters, Davis just hasn’t been very productive, with seven catches for 88 yards in four games.<\/p>\n

The Bills are also welcoming back Joshua Palmer after he missed the previous two contests because of injury. The addition of Brandin Cooks via waivers a few weeks back is another reason why Davis is being pushed to inactive status.<\/p>\n

Another issue for Davis is he doesn’t offer special teams value, which is why Tyrell Shavers is also getting the nod over him.<\/p>\n
