The Baltimore Ravens were without six starters at their first practice of Week 16, including quarterback Lamar Jackson.<\/p>\n
Head coach John Harbaugh said that Jackson was \u201ckept home\u201d with flu-like symptoms. This is nothing new for the 28-year-old quarterback, who has popped up on the injury report with an illness several times in his career.<\/p>\n
Harbaugh also indicated that Roquan Smith and Ronnie Stanley were both \u201cheld back\u201d after minor injuries picked up in Sunday\u2019s game. Smith played every snap, but Stanley went down in the third quarter and did not return. Rookie Carson Vinson finished the drive at left tackle, and the next time the Ravens were on the field, their backups were in to close out the game. In other words, Stanley could have been able to return to the game but never had the opportunity. Why put him on the field in garbage time with the team\u2019s other key starters done for the day?<\/p>\n
We already know, unfortunately, that rookie linebacker Teddye Buchanan is out for the season with a torn ACL. He should be placed on injured reserve in the coming days.<\/p>\n
Awuzie has dealt with a few issues this year, including one with his hamstring that sidelined him in Weeks 5 and 6. He suffered a shoulder injury against the Steelers in Week 15 and got his foot caught in the field goal netting on Sunday. Harbaugh indicated on Monday that the injury was not serious.<\/p>\n
Van Noy\u2019s quad injury is the only one that has not been addressed by Harbaugh. As with the rest of the injured Ravens, we will know more later this week.<\/p>\n

The Patriots reported a banged-up defense on Wednesday with five starters absent: cornerbacks Carrlton Davis and Marcus Jones, linebackers Caden Elliss and Robert Spillane, and edge rusher Harold Landry. Christian Barmore was the sixth starting defender on New England\u2019s injury report, though he was a limited participant with a non-injury related\/other designation.<\/p>\n
