The Buffalo Bills selected Georgia Tech tight end Jackson Hawes in the fifth round of the NFL Draft, and he comes to the AFC East’s bully with his own brutal mentality.<\/p>\n

Seen by many as one of the best blocking tight ends in college, he now brings that skill set to a franchise and offense that is built on toughness and physicality.<\/p>\n

Some would say it is a good match.<\/p>\n

But as we know, it takes a special sort of someone to love the blocking element of football, and for Jackson, his reasoning for why he loves punishing people will make Bills Mafia rather happy that he’s on their side.<\/p>\n

“It’s just fun,” Hawes said<\/a>. “I think that\u00a0the violent part of football just really excites me, I mean it really should excite everyone that’s playing. But for me especially, there’s no better feeling than when you’re moving someone and you see the little running back just run right past you and get yards. It’s a great feeling.”<\/p>\n

That is quite a mentality to have.<\/p>\n

With a run game that consists of James Cook<\/a>, Ray Davis, and Ty Johnson, not to mention designed quarterback runs with Josh Allen, Hawes will be called upon often to put his hand in the dirt and create running lanes for his teammates.<\/p>\n

Bringing a tough and physical style to a Bills offense that was already known for it, Hawes will fit in seamlessly into Joe Brady’s unit.<\/p>\n

With his love for violence fueling his rookie season for the bullies of the AFC East.<\/p>\n
