Let’s take a closer look at each of the Colts’ UDFAs. Up next is Texas A&M linebacker Solomon DeShields.<\/p>\n

In addition to their eight draft picks, the\u00a0Indianapolis Colts<\/a>\u00a0have also signed 15 undrafted rookies after the 2025 NFL draft to add to their 91-man offseason roster.<\/p>\n

Just as we did with\u00a0each of the\u00a0eight draft selections<\/a>, let’s take a closer look at each of the\u00a0Colts<\/a>‘ UDFAs. Up next is Texas A&M linebacker Solomon DeShields.<\/p>\n

Solomon DeShields profile<\/p>\n

After spending three seasons at Pittsburgh, DeShields transferred to Texas A&M for the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

After being in a rotational role during the 2022 season, DeShields became a starter at Pitt in 2023. That year, DeShields logged 15 pressures as a blitzer and was a very sound tackler, which helped him hold up as a run defender and also limit pass-catchers in coverage to just 6.0 yards per catch.<\/p>\n

In this most recent season, DeShields played 189 snaps over 12 games, which included one start. He, again, was a reliable tackler and graded out well against the run by PFF’s metrics<\/a> and limited yards in the passing game.<\/p>\n

Also of note, throughout his career, DeShields played 488 special teams snaps and did so primarily across four of the six different phases.<\/p>\n
