Aaron Anderson<\/a>\u00a0announced Saturday that he\u2019s declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft<\/a>. It closes the book on a productive three-year run with the\u00a0LSU Tigers<\/a> turning the page toward the professional level.<\/p>\n

Anderson revealed the decision in a post on Instagram. In his statement, the wide receiver reflected on the path that brought him to this moment and the people who shaped it.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery step, every grind, every sacrifice \u2014 none of this happens alone,\u201d Anderson wrote<\/a>. \u201cTo my family, thank you for believing in me before the world ever did. My coaches \u2014 Brian Kelly, Hank, Frank, B Snap, AP, Paul, and Brice (my mentor & high school coach) \u2014 thank you for the discipline, wisdom, and love that shaped me on and off the field. The academic staff, thank you for holding me accountable beyond football. <\/p>\n

\u201cTo the Alabama fans \u2014 thank you for welcoming me, supporting me, and being part of the foundation of my journey. To the LSU fans \u2014 thank you for embracing me and riding with me through the next chapter. With that being said, after careful consideration, I\u2019m officially declaring for the NFL Draft. The journey continues. Next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anderson spent the past three seasons in Baton Rouge and steadily carved out a role in LSU\u2019s offense. Over his collegiate career, he totaled 106 receptions for 1,341 yards and five touchdowns. All five of his scores came during the 2024 season, when he emerged as a reliable target and key contributor in the Tigers\u2019 passing game.<\/p>\n

Before arriving at LSU, Anderson was one of the most decorated recruits in Louisiana. He starred at\u00a0Edna Karr in New Orleans, where he earned four-star status and established himself as one of the top prospects in the country. According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted algorithm that compiles evaluations from major recruiting services, Anderson was the No. 36 overall recruit in the 2021 class.<\/p>\n

At LSU, Anderson developed under head coach\u00a0Brian Kelly<\/a>. He refined his route running, versatility and reliability as a pass catcher. While his production peaked in 2024, his consistency and experience made him a respected presence.<\/p>\n

Now, Anderson\u2019s focus shifts to the next stage of his football career.
