The Los Angeles Rams<\/a> did not have a good first half against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17.<\/p>\n

Not only did the Rams go down 21-0 at the half, but L.A. was held scoreless in the first half for only the second time since Sean McVay took over as head coach in 2017, according to the Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The other two times? The infamous 13-3 loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII in 2019 and a 2024 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 13. However, L.A. trailed by just three against New England and six against New Orleans.<\/p>\n

This 21-point deficit, meanwhile, is the largest in a first half since former head coach Jeff Fisher’s last game on Dec. 16, 2016.<\/p>\n

The first half has been plagued by mistakes on both sides of the ball for L.A. Matthew Stafford threw two costly interceptions (one of which was returned for a touchdown) and the defense gave up a 93-yard rushing touchdown to Falcons running back Bijan Robinson.<\/p>\n

L.A. clinched a playoff spot a few weeks ago and they can’t win the NFC West, but the Rams can still decide their seed if they’re able to come back and win.<\/p>\n
