Michael Strahan asked about Jordon Hudson while interviewing Bill Belichick, but Christopher \u201cMad Dog\u201d Russo still believes a lot was left to be desired.<\/p>\n
Belichick recently stopped by ABC\u2019s Good Morning America to promote his new book<\/a>, The Art of Winning. And according to Russo, everyone involved with the interview should be ashamed.<\/p>\n Russo joined The Rich Eisen Show hosted by Suzy Shuster Monday afternoon<\/a>, where he dubbed DeflateGate the weirdest story he ever covered. What ABC did there, ABC gave carte blanche to Belichick. \u2018Bill, we want you on, tell us what questions you want us to ask.\u2019 Horrific. ABC was horrific that essentially, they sold their journalism chops to make sure Belichick, because he was in the news, was on the air.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to his SiriusXM Radio show, Russo works for ABC\u2019s sister network, ESPN as a weekly contributor on Stephen A. Smith\u2019s First Take. Working for ESPN, however, didn\u2019t stop Russo from ripping the UFC<\/a> or mocking Disney<\/a>, and it similarly didn\u2019t stop him from questioning ABC\u2019s interview with Belichick.<\/p>\n \u201cThat was a horrific job by a worthy news organization. And then they put Strahan in a tough spot, because we all know Strahan is not Mike Wallace,\u201d Russo continued. \u201cNo knock against Strahan, but that\u2019s an impossible situation\u2026he\u2019s not gonna put him on the spot.\u201d<\/p>\n Strahan did what everyone hoped he would do during the nine-minute interview and asked Belichick about his 24-year-old girlfriend. But Russo wasn\u2019t satisfied.\u00a0Russo wanted Strahan to press Belichick on omitting Bob Kraft from his book, divorcing the New England Patriots, benching Malcom Butler in Super Bowl LII, and failing to get hired by the Atlanta Falcons.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s so many things you gotta ask him, and they asked him nothing!\u201d Russo ranted. \u201cOh my god it was bad.\u201d<\/p>\n Usually, when something bothers Russo this much, he riffs about it during his \u201cWhat are you mad about?\u201d segment on First Take. It will be very interesting to see if ESPN gives Russo the platform to rip ABC for its Bill Belichick interview this week.<\/p>\n \t
