The season itself isn’t over, but it still feels like that’s the case, particularly after head coach Aaron Glenn openly questioned his squad’s effort during Sunday’s meeting with the Patriots.

At this point, the organization’s direction should be questioned. Glenn could realistically be a one-and-done head coach after seeing the Jets regress and possibly quit as the season nears its end.

The idea has to be on owner Woody Johnson’s mind while being embarrassed during the last four games and looking to finally address quarterback with a talented rookie who could use an offensive-minded head coach.

<img alt="Dec 28, 2025; East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA; New York Jets running back Breece Hall (20) runs the ball against New England Patriots linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson (44) during the second quarter of the game at MetLife Stadium. The Jets have been horrible on both sides of the ball, evidenced by their minus-176 point differential — fourth worst in franchise history. With eight returning starters on defense and several key contributors on offense, the Jets expected to be competitive this season under first-year coach Aaron Glenn.
