{"id":644945,"date":"2026-01-01T06:42:12","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T06:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/644945\/"},"modified":"2026-01-01T06:42:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T06:42:12","slug":"seattle-seahawks-49ers-still-have-key-dnps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/644945\/","title":{"rendered":"Seattle Seahawks, 49ers still have key DNPs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers both have significant injury questions ahead of Saturday night\u2019s Week 18 winner-take-all showdown, which will determine both the NFC West title and the NFC\u2019s No. 1 seed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sports.mynorthwest.com\/nfl\/seattle-seahawks\/jeremiah-whats-changed-since-seattle-seahawks-week-1-loss-49ers\/1833970\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jeremiah: What\u2019s changed since Seahawks\u2019 Week 1 loss to 49ers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a look at each team\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/injuries\/league\/2025\/reg18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">injury report<\/a> for Wednesday. Both teams will have to make their game status designations by Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Seahawks injury report<\/p>\n<p>Left tackle\u00a0Charles Cross\u00a0(hamstring) and veteran swing tackle\u00a0Josh Jones (ankle, knee) were both listed as non-participants on Wednesday\u2019s practice report for the second straight day, which further indicates there\u2019s a real possibility the Seahawks could be down to their third-string left tackle on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>Cross, who has missed the past two games, has yet to practice since getting injured in the final minute of Seattle\u2019s Week 15 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Dec. 14. Jones, who has started at left tackle in place of Cross for the past two games, was a new addition to the injury report this week.<\/p>\n<p>If neither Cross or Jones are available, Seattle\u2019s other options at left tackle include undrafted rookie Amari Kight and rookie guard\/tackle Mason Richman. They have a combined three offensive snaps this season.<\/p>\n<p>Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.mynorthwest.com\/nfl\/seattle-seahawks\/injury-update-seattle-seahawks-left-tackle-cross-jones-49ers\/1834046\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">didn\u2019t divulge much<\/a> about the team\u2019s left tackle situation when speaking to reporters prior to Wednesday afternoon\u2019s practice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Josh can play, he\u2019s gonna play,\u201d Macdonald said. \u201cIf Charles gets better and can play, he\u2019ll play. That appears to indicate he\u2019s progressing through the NFL\u2019s concussion protocol after sustaining a concussion in Sunday\u2019s win over the Carolina Panthers.<\/p>\n<p>However, safety Coby Bryant (knee) was downgraded to a non-participant on Wednesday after being limited on Tuesday. Williams got hurt in San Francisco\u2019s win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday night.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, star running back Christian McCaffrey (back) and fullback\u00a0Kyle Juszczyk (hip) were both upgraded to limited on Wednesday after being listed as non-participants on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Seven-time Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle (ankle) also was limited for a second straight day.
