Maye <a target=\"_blank\" https:=\"\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spoke about the possibility<\/a> of being the league MVP during his Wednesday availability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an honor,\u201d Maye said. \u201cI told everybody who said something in the locker room, it\u2019s us. It\u2019s a team deal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Drake Maye on being the potential MVP:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s an honor. But most importantly, Maye has led the Patriots to a 13-3 record and to an AFC East division title.<\/p>\n<p class=\"nesn-in-content-ad__copy\">Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s fantastic to see Maye point out that if he wins the MVP, it will be a team deal, not just an individual award.<\/p>\n<p>Maye has taken great strides in his second NFL season, and it will be interesting to see how he does in the postseason starting next week.<\/p>\n<p>New England still has a shot at securing the No. 1 seed, but it has to beat the Miami Dolphins and hope the Broncos lose to the Chargers.
