The New York Giants are not planning to pull starters early or limit playing time in Sunday\u2019s season finale against the Dallas Cowboys, according to interim head coach Mike Kafka.<\/p>\n
Giants starters will play \u201call the way through\u201d on Sunday despite the 3-13 Giants and 7-8-1 Cowboys playing for nothing but pride.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re playing the game. Everyone\u2019s rolling all the way through,\u201d Kafka said. \u201cWe\u2019re not even thinking that way [about limiting snaps] at all. Going straight through. Straight through all 60 minutes or whatever it takes.\u201d<\/p>\n
Many fans, of course, won\u2019t be happy if that is indeed how the Giants play the game. With a loss to the Cowboys and a victory by the Las Vegas Raiders over the Kansas City Chiefs, the Giants can still secure the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. With a victory on Sunday, the Giants could slide to No. 7 in the draft order.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think guys, they\u2019re in the right frame of mind. They have been all season,\u201d Kafka said. \u201cThey\u2019re preparing themselves to win, they\u2019re preparing themselves to get their minds right and go out there and execute with their teammates. I think this week, it\u2019s a division game. It\u2019s a division game, it\u2019s at home. That\u2019s important to all of us, so I think it\u2019s important that we put in the work and be detailed throughout this week to prepare ourselves to go play the game.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re gonna play the game and see how the game goes,\u201d said Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer.<\/p>\n
A number of Giants did not practice.<\/p>\n
Edge defender Abdul Carter, wide receiver Jalin Hyatt and tight end Theo Johnson were sent home due to illness. Safety Jevon Holland (knee), cornerback Cor\u2019Dale Flott (knee), wide receiver Wan\u2019Dale Robinson (ribs), wide receiver Beaux Collins, and offensive lineman Evan Neal were not practicing.<\/p>\n
Kafka said Robinson had \u201csome soreness.\u201d He said Holland is \u201cday to day.\u201d<\/p>\n
