A year ago, the Bucs were not a good tackling team.<\/p>\n

They still aren\u2019t. Make that Exhibit 9B why head coach Todd Bowles has failed this season.<\/p>\n

Why aren\u2019t the Bucs a hair-on-fire group of sharp tacklers? It\u2019s not all on the players, though Joe realizes much of it is. A big part of tackling is \u201cwant-to\u201d and focus. Not enough Bucs have that. And the Bucs\u2019 on-field leadership has failed miserably this season.<\/p>\n

Hall of Fame cornerback Rond\u00e9 Barber sounds like a man who can\u2019t take watching the subpar tackling any longer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe biggest fundamental that our team, this team, and I don\u2019t know how you fix it in a week, is tackling,\u201d Barber said this week on the WFLA streaming show that bears his name.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s so many missed tackles in crucial situations early in games. If I am coaching, I\u2019m doing a tackle drill every day this week.\u201d<\/p>\n
