The NFL postseason<\/a> is inching closer as Week 18 \u2014 the end of the regular season \u2014 is on the horizon.<\/p>\n

And while every matchup in both conferences have yet to be determined, there are some potential playoff meetings that would catch the attention of pundits.<\/p>\n

CBS Sports’ Zachary Pereles ranked his seven Wild Card matchups<\/a> he would like to see the most next weekend, with a potential Chargers meeting at No. 2.<\/p>\n

For him, seeing the Bolts match up with the Patriots on Wild Card Weekend would be a fascinating matchup for a number of reasons.<\/p>\n

This would pit Drake Maye against Herbert in a battle between two of the most physically gifted, fun-to-watch quarterbacks in the NFL. Maye is the potential MVP, and he could continue his ascent to superstardom with his first career playoff win. Herbert, too, is still looking for his first playoff win, and beating Maye would be a tremendous way to do it.<\/p>\n

There are so many other fascinating facets: How would the disciplined Chargers defense fare against Maye, who loves to hunt the big play?
