One Clemson signee is anxious to find out who Clemson\u2019s next offensive coordinator is going to be.<\/p>\n

With Garrett Riley being dismissed by Dabo Swinney in March, four-star OL signee Carter Scruggs knows the Tigers are in the process of finding someone to come in and revamp an offense that struggled mightily at times in 2025. <\/p>\n

By the time he arrives on campus as an early enrollee, the new coordinator should be in place, and Scruggs is very much looking forward to learning the scheme. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a fast learner, so for me, I have no problem learning any offensive scheme,\u201d Scruggs told The Clemson Insider. \u201cI\u2019m definitely interested to see who we hire and how much it will change.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scruggs committed to the Tigers back in the summer, choosing Clemson over Michigan, Penn State and Georgia. The multi-time All-State honoree, who didn\u2019t allow a sack across his final two seasons of high school ball, was a big get for Matt Luke. Playing under Luke was a big factor in his decision to choose the Tigers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a huge factor,\u201d Scruggs told TCI back in November<\/a>. \u201cThe role that he is going to be playing at Clemson is a huge one. Just developing offensive linemen. That was a huge factor in why I committed. I think that is what is really going to take them over the little hump of the past five years or whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scruggs is one of six offensive linemen Luke signed as part of Clemson\u2019s 2026 recruiting class. Five of those six, including Scruggs, are blue-chip prospects. <\/p>\n
