Back in March, the San Francisco 49ers<\/a> were projected to the win the NFC West over the Los Angeles Rams<\/a>, and here we are in May and guess what? Apparently, the 49ers are still expected to pass the Rams for the NFC West title.<\/p>\n

I gotta be honest, I don\u2019t get this take. Can the 49ers win the NFC West? Sure, they can. So can the Arizona Cardinals<\/a> (or even Seattle Seahawks<\/a>). Now, would I pick the 49ers to win the NFC West right now? No, even putting my bias as a Rams fan aside, I think the Rams are in a better position than the 49ers. <\/p>\n

I am not a betting man, really, but if you are, then now may be as a good a time as ever to put some money on the Rams to win the NFC West (bet responsibly, bet wisely!). I\u2019ll be curious to see if that is still the expectation come September.<\/p>\n

49ers are favored to win the NFC West over the Rams despite finishing last in 2024<\/a> (ramswire)<\/p>\n

\u201cAs competitive as the NFC West has been over the years, it\u2019s a division that\u2019s been owned by the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers since Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan took over their respective teams in 2017. In eight seasons, the Rams have won the division four times, the 49ers have won it three times and the Seattle Seahawks have won it once \u2013 which came in 2020 when the Rams beat Seattle in the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Last season, it was the Rams who finished atop the West with a 10-7 record, while the 49ers were two games behind the rest of the division at 6-11, finishing last for the first time since 2020.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead to the upcoming 2025 season, the Rams and 49ers are once again viewed as the favorites. But which team has the best odds to win the West? According to DraftKings Sportsbook, it\u2019s the 49ers with the best chance. DraftKings has the 49ers as +145 to win the West, with the Rams second at +200.\u201d<\/p>\n
