On Friday afternoon, multiple sources reported that the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u2018 offensive coordinator Matt Nagy will be among those interviewing for the Tennessee Titans<\/a>\u2019 head coaching vacancy next week.<\/p>\n

We also learned that the Titans have streamlined their front office structure<\/a>. President of football operations Chad Brinker and general manager Mike Borgonzi will now both report to Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk. Previously, Borgonzi and the head coach had reported to Brinker, who also had final say on the 53-man roster.<\/p>\n

Borgonzi \u2014 who formerly worked for Kansas City GM Brett Veach \u2014 will now control the roster and supervise the head coach. It is believed that this restructure will make it more likely for Nagy to land the job.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he deserves to be a head football coach in this league,\u201d Chiefs\u2019 head coach Andy Reid said of Nagy last week. \u201cThat\u2019s exciting for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kansas City defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo\u2019s name has also been mentioned in connection with potential head coaching openings \u2014 but publicly, he has declined to look that far ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I mean, I\u2019m not gonna go down that road right now,\u201d he said on Thursday. \u201cI mean, I\u2019m involved in [preparing for the Raiders] \u2014 but listen, I\u2019m a prideful guy. We\u2019ll see what happens at the end of the year and we\u2019ll take it from there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nagy, however, was much more willing to discuss it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really feel good about where I\u2019m at,\u201d Nagy told reporters on Thursday. \u201cAnd again, here we are at the end of the season. So this is the time where this stuff comes up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve prepared for several years since I went through it at the right time. And everything that I went through in Chicago? It all happened for a reason. And to be able to come back here in Kansas City and be here with Coach Reid and all these players is special.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo we\u2019ll just continue to work through all that and see whatever happens. But it\u2019s fun \u2014 and it\u2019s just that time of the year.
