Contenders are beginning to emerge for former Texas<\/a> wide receiver DeAndre Moore<\/a>. After officially entering the NCAA transfer portal<\/a>, Moore quickly set up a visit to see Kentucky<\/a>. Now, three more trips are on deck, according to On3\u2019s Hayes Fawcett<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Moore will make his way up to Columbus beginning on Sunday. Ohio State<\/a> is widely considered one of the best programs in college football when it comes to wide receiver development. Moore would be joining an already loaded room if the Buckeyes eventually win out.<\/p>\n

Louisville<\/a> and Colorado<\/a> are the other two schools getting Moore on campus. The Cardinals will be the first of them, a program he already has history with. One day later, Moore gets back out West to see Deion Sanders<\/a> in Boulder.<\/p>\n

As mentioned, there is a past with Moore and Louisville. Moore was a long-time Louisville commit during his high school recruiting days. Texas was able to flip him out of Los Alamitos (CA) St. John Bosco<\/a> and eventually bring him to the 40 Acres. Maybe there could be a reunion a few years later, answering any \u2018What if?\u2019 questions when it comes to Louisville.<\/p>\n

Moore is one of the top players available early in the process. The On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings<\/a> have him as the No. 29 overall player and No. 5 when it comes to wide receiver. Few people are ahead of him when looking at the entirety of options. One of those four schools is hoping to get him on the roster for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

DeAndre Moore on the open market after three years with Texas<\/p>\n

In 11 games this season for Texas, Moore caught 38 passes for 532 yards and four touchdowns. He was one of the few regulars head coach Steve Sarkisian<\/a> put out there at wide receiver. Texas saw the offense struggle early in the season before coming on late and showing improvements.<\/p>\n

Moore is hoping the trend personally continues, just somewhere else. It\u2019s been a nice few years of development in Austin but the goal in the WR\u2019s final season of eligibility is to go out there and prove himself to the NFL.<\/p>\n

Moore played high school football at Los Alamitos (CA) St. John Bosco<\/a>, where he was a four-star prospect.
