Michigan<\/a> sophomore offensive tackle Ben Roebuck<\/a> has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.<\/p>\n

Roebuck saw action in two of Michigan\u2018s games this season (Central Michigan<\/a> and Washington<\/a>). He was named an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.<\/p>\n

His decision to enter the Portal comes after\u00a0Michigan\u00a0parted ways with head coach\u00a0Sherrone Moore<\/a>\u00a0prior to the Wolverines\u2019 Cheez-It Bowl matchup against\u00a0Texas<\/a>. Moore was\u00a0fired for cause<\/a>\u00a0and was quickly replaced by long-time\u00a0Utah<\/a>\u00a0head coach\u00a0Kyle Whittingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Whittingham is bringing a host of\u00a0Utah\u00a0assistants along with him to Ann Arbor. That includes offensive coordinator\u00a0Jason Beck<\/a>, offensive line coach hire\u00a0Jim Harding<\/a>, tight ends coach\u00a0Freddie Whittingham<\/a>, quarterbacks coach\u00a0Koy Detmer Jr., and wide receivers coach\u00a0Micah Simon<\/a>, per On3\u2019s Pete Nakos.<\/p>\n

Wolverine fans seem pleased with the moves. Morgan does not plan on sticking around.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re just about finished,\u201d Whittingham said about his staff during\u00a0Michigan\u2018s bowl game. \u201cIt hasn\u2019t been announced officially yet. Until somebody\u2019s on the dotted line, you never want to get ahead of yourself. But I think we\u2019re in good shape. I think we\u2019ll have probably about 90% of the staff named this weekend. Then we\u2019ll finish off the next one or two over the course of next week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to enrolling at\u00a0Michigan,\u00a0Roebuck was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 601 overall player in the\u00a02024 class<\/a>, according to the On3 Consensus. He was the No. 39-ranked OT in his class and the No. 23 overall player from the state of Ohio, hailing from St. Edward<\/a>.<\/p>\n
