{"id":655510,"date":"2026-01-05T09:09:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-05T09:09:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/655510\/"},"modified":"2026-01-05T09:09:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T09:09:08","slug":"how-osu-football-landed-k-state-db","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/655510\/","title":{"rendered":"How OSU football landed K-State DB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>STILLWATER \u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oklahoman.com\/story\/sports\/college\/cowboys\/2025\/08\/26\/oklahoma-state-football-schedule-dates-times-tv-streaming-2025-osu-cowboys\/85833212007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oklahoma State<\/a> secondary added a player with Big 12 experience and Oklahoma ties late Sunday night.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ScottWrightOK\/status\/2008048660974858581\" rel=\"nofollow\">initially reported by On3.com<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/ncaaf\/teams\/kansas-state-wildcats\/3427\/\" data-autotag=\"61eca6c9-fba4-439c-9885-fdcf3a04aafc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kansas State<\/a> transfer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oklahoman.com\/story\/sports\/high-school\/football\/2022\/07\/07\/oklahoma-high-school-football-recruiting-kanijal-thomas-del-city\/7813640001\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">cornerback Kanijal Thomas<\/a> committed to OSU, becoming the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oklahoman.com\/story\/sports\/college\/cowboys\/2026\/01\/02\/oklahoma-state-football-transfer-portal-tracker-2026-osu-cowgirls\/87989075007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">13th player to join the Cowboys<\/a> in the first three days of the transfer portal window.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas was a two-way star at Del City, earning first-team All-State honors from The Oklahoman as a receiver in his senior season when he averaged 26.5 yards per reception.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Defensively, for his career, he totaled 177 tackles with three interceptions and 14 pass breakups for the Eagles.<\/p>\n<p>At K-State, he appeared in 21 games over three years, including all 12 games of his redshirt sophomore season in 2025.
