The Miami Dolphins\u2019 disappointing 2025 campaign ended yesterday with a 38-10 loss to the New England Patriots on the road. While some are still mourning the finality of another less than stellar season, business moves fast in the National Football League.<\/p>\n
On Monday, it was reported by various sources that the Atlanta Falcons \u2014 who parted ways with former head coach Raheem Morris on Sunday night \u2014 have requested an interview with current Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator, Anthony Weaver, to fill their vacant coaching position.<\/p>\n
This will not be Weaver\u2019s first time interviewing for the Atlanta Falcons head coaching job, as he did so in January of 2024 before the team ultimately decided to hire Morris for the position. Weaver would go on to take the Dolphins\u2019 job one month later.<\/p>\n
Weaver has spent the last two seasons as defensive coordinator of the Dolphins after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant with the Baltimore Ravens. Before landing in Baltimore, Weaver spent one season as the Houston Texans\u2019 defensive coordinator in 2020.<\/p>\n
