Starting in 2031, Kansas \u2014 and Johnson County, in part \u2014 will be home to the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n
The team and state officials unveiled the momentous news<\/a> at a press conference last month, just before the holidays.<\/p>\n The team plans to build a new $3 billion domed stadium in Wyandotte County, as well as relocate its headquarters and training facility to Olathe, which is expected to cost an additional $1 billion.<\/p>\n The project\u2019s costs are being divided 60-40 between the state and team, with Kansas pledging at least $2.4 billion in various tax incentives and public funds for the project.
