Following a disappointing season, the Washington Commanders<\/a> have lost their offensive coordinator, Kliff Kingsbury.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN\u2019s<\/a> Adam Schefter, Kingsbury informed the organization of his plans to leave to \u201cpursue other opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not long after Kingsbury\u2019s departure announcement, it became clear that he\u2019s an instant candidate for multiple teams\u2019 head coach vacancies. The New York Giants<\/a> are included.<\/p>\n

Via @Schultz_Report: Sources say Kliff Kingsbury is expected to interview with the #Giants and #Titans \u2014 among others \u2014 for their open HC positions.<\/p>\n

The Giants are currently on the hunt for a new head coach, well after cutting ties with Brian Daboll.<\/p>\n

Since the Giants wasted little time putting Russell Wilson in the backseat this season, their next hire will certainly enter the organization knowing that Jaxson Dart has the keys to the offense as the franchise quarterback. Kingsbury is an interesting candidate to pair with the one-year veteran.<\/p>\n

Since 2010, Kingsbury has worked with quarterbacks, beginning with a job at Houston in the NCAA. He was on the map for his time at Texas A&M before he became the head coach of Texas Tech in 2013. Five years into that, Kingsbury took over as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The stint with the Cardinals failed, as Kingsbury\u2019s team made the playoffs once in four seasons, but he bounced back with an opportunity in Washington. Last year, Kingsbury worked with a rookie Jayden Daniels, helping the former first-rounder reach early stardom.<\/p>\n

While Daniels\u2019 sophomore effort flopped, due to injury concerns, his rookie run was nothing short of impressive. In 17 games, Daniels threw for 3,568 yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He also rushed 148 times for 891 yards and six touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Daniels was a Pro Bowler, Rookie of the Year, and an MVP candidate.<\/p>\n

Jaxson Dart showed plenty of promise in his first season. He tossed for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He had 487 yards on the ground, along with nine scores.<\/p>\n

If the Giants choose to take the route of bringing in a coach with a heavy focus on the quarterback, Kingsbury just might be an ideal fit.
